Job Description
Role Overview :
As a Project Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to monitor the progress of work in alignment with the master project schedule. You will be required to oversee the execution of work at the site, ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications. Timely reminders to contractors regarding schedule delays will also be part of your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the procurement of materials, equipment, and labor by contractors, ensuring alignment with the time schedule and providing advice for improvement.
- Administer all contracts and assist in resolving any differences or disputes that may arise during the contract duration.
- Collaborate with QA/QC personnel to ensure all quality parameters are met.
- Provide support for job safety analysis and escalate any abnormal developments to the project manager.
- Clarify specifications and maintain continuous communication with the accountable Project Manager internally.
- Offer cost-saving solutions, negotiate contractor change orders, and manage the project's risk management process.
- Implement system requirements in the installation and test plans of the Contractor for detailed planning and construction phases until final takeover.
- Ensure full implementation of the project's construction and safety management plans.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience in building projects.
- Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works.
