Job Title: Depot Foreman (Engineer)
Location: Wakefield Salary: £17 - £20 per hour

Neos Engineering are partnered with a busy, well-established depot in Wakefield looking to recruit a skilled Depot Foreman/Engineer to lead their engineering and yard teams.

• Be the vital link between the office and engineering team, supporting the Depot Manager with daily depot operations.
• Manage and supervise engineering and yard staff; ensure all equipment meets company and legal standards.
• Coordinate engineers  workloads, including service runs.
• Liaise directly with customers to resolve breakdowns or faults.
• Maintain stock levels of spare parts; manage supplier relationships.
• Uphold strict Health & Safety compliance.
• Role is predominantly yard-based, with some field work, and includes participation in an on-call rota with occasional evenings and weekends.

• Minimum of 3 years  experience working with generators and plant equipment, ideally within the hire industry.
• Strong people management skills; experience supervising engineers, drivers, and subcontractors.
• Excellent organisational abilities, commercial awareness, and the ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
• Full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years held); forklift licence is desirable (training can be provided).
• Proactive team player who can also work independently and maintain excellent communication with internal and external contacts at all levels, ensuring outstanding customer service.
