Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Quality Engineer/Inspector
- Interpret engineering drawings, identify specified standards, and verify that finished components meet specification.
- Identify non-conforming components and enable corrective action before delivery to customers.
- Maintain and manage calibration of measuring tools, ensuring compliance with tolerances and intervals.
- Complete inspection reports and certificates of conformance for finished components.
- Provide guidance on quality issues, ensuring compliance with ISO
9001 and ISO
14001.
Experience of the Mechanical Quality Engineer/Inspector
- Qualification in mechanical engineering
- Relevant mechanical engineering experience
- Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment (digital height gauges, hardness testers, micrometers, Bowers, etc.).
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and Excel.
- Strong understanding of ISO
9001 and ISO
14001. - Experience with CMM equipment
- £ per hour (Mon-Fri)
