The Role

A stimulating opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners through:

  • Direct, hands-on support for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Assisting with daily activities, bespoke learning and communication programmes
  • Collaborating with class teachers, therapists, parents, and external professionals
  • Monitoring pupil progress, contributing to assessments and planning personalised interventions
  • Ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children with PMLD or similar complex needs
  • Relevant training, such as Makaton, AAC, sensory strategies, or PMLD-specific strategies
  • Deep understanding of child development and SEN frameworks
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to inclusive practice
