• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Communication and Interaction needs
• Complex learning needs

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant at the site, you will:

• Support pupils in lessons and during targeted interventions.
• Help deliver personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs.
• Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour support, and daily routines.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and wider support teams to ensure a consistent, nurturing approach.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with SEN learners—particularly those with ASC, SEMH, and communication difficulties (essential).
• A calm, nurturing, and resilient nature.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and think proactively.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Any additional training such as Team Teach, Trauma-Informed Practice, Autism-specialist courses, Makaton, or de-escalation training is highly beneficial.
