We’re looking for a passionate and fully qualified Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school on a full-time basis from 13th April.

This isn’t just about cooking. It’s about creativity, independence, teamwork, and giving young people the skills they’ll carry long after they leave school.

If you’re someone who can move from knife skills to nutrition theory without missing a beat, and you believe the kitchen is one of the best classrooms in the building, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Delivering engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Teaching practical cooking skills alongside nutrition and food science theory

  • Creating a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment

  • Encouraging confidence, creativity, and pride in students’ work

What we’re looking for:
  • Qualified Teacher Status, QTS is essential

  • Experience teaching Food Technology in a UK secondary setting

  • Strong classroom management and a calm, organised approach

  • A genuine passion for practical learning and student development

You’ll be joining a school that values hands‑on learning and understands the importance of equipping students with real‑life skills. The department is well‑resourced, and leadership is supportive and forward‑thinking.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
