Reed Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 1/2 Teacher for a well-respected primary school in Wakefield (WF2). This long-term, part-time role begins immediately after the Easter break and offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled KS1 teacher looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a balanced working week.

This is an ideal position for a passionate educator who thrives in a supportive school environment and enjoys teaching mixed-age primary classes.

As the Year 1/2 class teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
• Take full responsibility for planning, preparation, and assessment
• Receive a dedicated half-day of PPA time each week
• Maintain strong behaviour management to support effective learning
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the KS1 team
• Create an inclusive, safe, and inspiring classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff

We are welcoming applications from teachers who are:

• Fully qualified (QTS essential)
• Experienced in teaching Key Stage 1
• Confident working with mixed Year 1/2 classes
• Strong in planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery
• Skilled in fostering a positive and purposeful learning atmosphere
• Professional, reliable, and adaptable in a long-term role
