EYFS​/KS1 Teacher & SENCO

Position: EYFS / KS1 Teacher & SENCO
We are currently working with a primary school in the Wakefield area who are looking to recruit a Teacher to work across early years and KS1 and also provide part time SENCO duties. This is a full time role, starting in March and working until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students in EYFS and KS1
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and progress
Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs
Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to aid development
Work collaboratively with school staff and contribute to pastoral care and extracurricular activities

Candidate Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, SCITT, etc.)
Recent teaching experience in UK primary schools
Experience working with students with SEND
Previous experience working as a SENCO or Deputy SENCO would be beneficial
Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Completed Level 1 Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete online)
