Wakefield Memorial High School head football coach

Overview

Wakefield Memorial High School is seeking a Head Football Coach for the Football Program for the 2026 Fall Season. All candidates should apply prior to January 30.

• Oversees the entire Football Program of student athletes and coaching staff.
• Coaches individual participants in basic and advanced skills necessary for maximum individual achievement within the team setting.
• Develops and executes weekly practice plans and weekly gameplans.
• Develops and executes off season planning for all student athletes.
• Provides leadership necessary to build a program ready for sustained success.
• T eaches, monitors and enforces appropriate standards of discipline and sportsmanlike behavior.
• Monitors adherence by athletes to the rules and regulations of the MIAA.
• Keeps up to date with any necessary training for assigned sport.
• Attends regular coaches meetings organized by the Athletic Director to discuss the expectations and guidelines of the Athletic Program.
• Creates an environment where students are supported and encouraged to participate in the athletics program.
• Adheres to practice schedules, student practice rules and medical compliance as required by the league.

• All candidates should have the following:
• MIAA Certified Coach / NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching
• Head Coaching Experience (Football)
• Varsity Coaching Experience Extensive
• Football Background (playing or coaching)
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion and energy to promote Educational Athletics
• CPR / First Aid Certifications

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $10,728 to $13,498 Stipend
