Tax Manager

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Tax Manager:

#1. Must have CPA

#2. Must have public accounting experience

#3. Must been local to Wakefield, MA and willing to come to office Tues, Weds, Thurs.

#4. No more than 3 jobs in the past 10 years

• Supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
• Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and firm resources
• Work directly with clients to build and maintain relationships
• Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and tax work papers
• Perform tax research projects
• Communicate with clients and team members regarding project status, client opportunities and other matters
• Provide training, direction, and supervision to team
• Maintain technical expertise in various tax areas related to industry specialization
• Build new client relationships and maintain existing relationships
• Manage book of business, including budgets and production goals
• Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by management and clients

• BSBA in Accounting
• CPA Certification required
• 7+ years of experience in public accounting
• Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple client projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and detail oriented
• Working knowledge of accounting and auditing principles
• Experience with Quick Books, Microsoft Word and Excel, Pro System fx Tax

• Hybrid scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office.
• No sponsor ships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
