Tax Senior
A fast-growing CPA firm in Wakefield, MA is seeking experienced Tax Senior to support its expanding client base of public and private companies. This role offers a salary of $90k/year plus bonus and is ideal for professionals with 3–5 years of public accounting experience who are looking to grow their careers in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. You’ll work on complex tax engagements, contribute to strategic planning, and gain exposure to clients across a wide range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:- Prepare federal and state corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
- Prepare individual income tax returns and assist with year‑round tax planning
- Resolve federal and state tax notices and support client inquiries
- Conduct tax research and contribute to special projects
- Provide bookkeeping services as needed
- Collaborate with managers on various client-related engagements
- 3–5 years of public accounting experience, preferably in tax
- Proven ability to manage multiple client projects and meet deadlines
- Experience preparing corporate and individual tax returns
Experience:
- Exposure to bookkeeping and trust tax return preparation
- Background in resolving IRS/state tax issues and client correspondence
- Proficiency in corporate and individual tax return preparation
- Strong organizational and detail‑orientation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skills:
- CPA candidate or licensed CPA
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (BSBA)
- Familiarity with tax planning for closely held businesses and individuals
- Ability to perform tax research and interpret regulatory guidance
- Experience using tax software (e.g., Pro System fx, Lacerte, Ultra Tax)
