What You'll DoAs a Real Estate Property Accountant, you will be responsible for accurate and timely property-level financial reporting, supporting portfolio growth under the guidance of Portfolio Accountants and the Accounting Manager. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead month-end close activities for multiple properties to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly/year-end CAM reconciliations
- Manage accounts receivable, cash receipts, and execute cash transfers including wires and checks
- Collaborate with asset and property managers on budgeting, forecasting, and debt compliance
- Support annual audits and assist with various accounting tasks as required
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1-2 years of real estate accounting experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with Yardi accounting software
- Familiarity with development accounting processes
