Position SummaryBright Path is seeking an empathetic, reliable, and team-oriented Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our Teen Partial Hospitalization (PHP). MHTs play a vital role in supporting the daily therapeutic structure and maintaining a safe, compassionate, and engaging environment for teens receiving treatment. This position is ideal for early-career professionals or students building experience in adolescent mental health and offers deep exposure to higher levels of care and meaningful work.
Responsibilities- Support group facilitation alongside licensed clinicians
- Monitor attendance, engagement, and behavioral needs
- Help with daily check-ins, group flow, and support
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment for teens in care
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred)
- Experience working with adolescents in behavioral health, education, or youth development settings
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and crisis-management skills
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations and model healthy emotional regulation
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and inclusive environment
Preferred:
- Previous experience in PHP/IOP, residential, or inpatient mental health settings
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based interventions
