Performs a variety of tasks in the maintenance, operation, and supervision of recreational facility for the Town of Wake Forest.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome members, guests, and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
- Supervision of gym/facility patrons.
- Locking and unlocking of building doors.
- Maintaining records and reports
- General maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
- Process check-ins efficiently for programs, classes, and events
- Verify enrollment and maintain accurate program rosters/attendance records
- Assist with registrations, payments, and general program information
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly
- Distribute information on schedules, activities, and community services
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as updating records and forms
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the front desk, lobby, equipment and shared spaces in the facility
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must possess the ability to relate to and communicate with individuals and with groups of people.
- Must possess independent decision-making ability.
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.
- Must submit to pre-employment drug screen.
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school with considerable experience working in an administrative assistant and/or customer service role. Some experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
Once an offer of employment has been extended, candidates will undergo a thorough background investigation, including NC State Bureau of Investigation fingerprinting.
