About the Firm

We are a growing CPA firm in Wake Forest, NC, providing tax, accounting, and advisory services to individuals and businesses. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a client-focused professional to manage our client engagement process, support billing operations, and provide executive administrative support to the Managing Partner.

The Role

The Client Engagement & Billing Manager plays a central role in how new clients experience our firm. This position owns the inbound client engagement process from first inquiry through signed proposal and onboarding, working closely with the Managing Partner on client fit, service scope, and pricing.

You will manage day-to-day sales execution, proposal coordination, billing support, and executive administrative responsibilities in a professional services environment. Final pricing decisions remain with the Managing Partner, but you will be trusted to run the process and ensure follow-through.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound client inquiries
  • Manage the client engagement process through signed proposal
  • Conduct intake conversations and maintain follow-up with prospective clients
  • Coordinate pricing and service scope with the Managing Partner
  • Prepare and issue proposals using firm templates and service packages
  • Track pipeline activity, proposals, and onboarding handoffs
  • Prepare and issue firm invoices and respond to routine billing questions
  • Provide executive assistant support to the Managing Partner, including scheduling, communications, and follow-ups
What We’re Looking For
  • Required: Experience in a CPA firm, law firm, or professional services firm
  • Client-facing experience (sales, intake, account management, or operations)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfort discussing fees and engagement terms with clients
  • Professional judgment and discretion
Nice to Have
  • Sales or inbound intake experience
  • Proposal or contract coordination experience
  • Billing or professional services administration
  • Executive assistant or senior administrative support experience
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 (based on experience)
  • Performance-based bonus tied in part to engagement and sales outcomes
