Responsibilities:

Assist Roofing Crew:
Support the roofing crew in various tasks, including but not limited to, material handling, equipment setup, and cleanup. Follow instructions from the crew lead or supervisor to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.

Material Handling:
Load and unload roofing materials, tools, and equipment onto trucks or job sites. Safely transport materials to the designated areas using appropriate lifting and carrying techniques. Organize and maintain an inventory of materials to ensure their availability when needed.

Site Preparation:
Prepare job sites by setting up safety barriers, scaffolding, and ladders as required. Help in the installation and removal of protective coverings, such as tarpaulins, to safeguard the work area from damage.

Cleanup and Debris Removal:
Keep the work area clean and organized throughout the project. Collect and dispose of debris, packaging materials, and waste materials in a responsible and efficient manner. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Equipment Maintenance:
Assist in the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of roofing tools and equipment. Report any equipment malfunctions or damage to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.

Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safe working practices. Identify and report potential safety hazards or concerns to the crew lead or supervisor.

Communication and

Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with the roofing crew and other team members to ensure a smooth workflow. Collaborate with team members to accomplish project goals in a timely and efficient manner.

Learn and Develop

Skills:

Take advantage of learning opportunities to gain knowledge and develop skills in various aspects of roofing. Seek guidance from experienced team members and actively participate in training programs as provided.

Requirements:

Physical Stamina:
Possess the physical ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces may be required.

Work Ethic:
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to take on various tasks as assigned. Maintain a positive attitude and exhibit adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Team Player:
Work well as part of a team, showing cooperation and effective communication to achieve project objectives.

Safety Consciousness:
Display a commitment to safety practices and guidelines, following all necessary safety precautions and using appropriate PPE.

Valid Driver's License:
Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable).

Roofing Experience (Preferred):
While prior roofing experience is not mandatory, any previous experience in the roofing industry would be advantageous.

High School Diploma or Equivalent:
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
