Main responsibilities of a cashier:

• Must be 16 years or older
• Friendly customer service greeting with a smile
• Accepting order, managing transactions, and explaining menu
• Accepting payments and providing receipts
• Processing order delivery with a thank you
• Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area
• Follow all food safety and department of health procedures

We are looking for a qualified and responsible cashier to manage all transactions with our customers efficiently and accurately. Their main responsibilities include accepting payments, providing receipts, making sure all transactions are accurate, and every customer is satisfied with the service. The cashier we would like to employ must be able to interact with our customers in a friendly manner and provide assistance should any guest require it.

Excellent communication skills are paramount to help us continue to delight our customers and provide them with an outstanding experience. A qualified candidate must also be able to follow instructions and be a successful member of our team. Previous experience is an advantage, and solid math and multitasking skills are ideal.

• Greeting customers when entering the premises
• Managing transaction orders on the register
• Balancing the cash register before and after shift duties
• Accepting payments, providing change, issuing receipts
• Adjusting transactions with coupons or gift cards as needed
• Resolving customer complaints/concerns as best as possible
• Bagging and wrapping purchased goods for dine in, take out, or delivery needs
• Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
• Thanking guests upon departure

• High School degree is preferred
• Experience with POS systems and cash registers is a plus
• Basic computer knowledge is helpful
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to effectively resolve complaints
