Position: HOUSING PROGRAM RESEARCH ANALYST

NOTE: THIS IS A NON-CIVIL SERVICE POSITION

Under the general supervision of the Department of Housing’s (Department) Director, the Housing Research Analyst researches topics and drafts memoranda on housing programs, policy, development, and project financing and serves as the Department’s point of contact for State legislative tracking and legislative review of housing affiliated projects. The Research Analyst will review and edit Department documents, analyzes and gathers data, prepares reports and presentations as well as manages governmental records requests and assists with the Housing Advisory Board and may serve as the Department’s designee at various meetings and events.

  • Research, reviews, edits, and analyzes housing-related documents and reports and makes recommendations to the Director;
  • Collaborates with the Department’s divisions on researching, reviewing, analyzing, and developing strategic housing development plans;
  • Researches, analyzes, and drafts reports on real estate development issues;
  • Serves as the Department’s State legislative liaison, and independently reviews and monitors State and County legislation, analyzes impacts, and drafts testimony for the Department;
  • Analyzes and researches environmental reports, public notices, and other general communication documents passing through the Department;
  • Manages the logging, responding to, and tracking government record requests under the Uniform Information Practices Act;
  • Consults with Federal, State, and County agencies staff for opinions and advice on housing related issues as directed by the Director;
  • Assists with staffing the Housing Advisory Board, reviews and analyzes its recommendations to the Director, and makes independent recommendations to the Director;
  • Performs other related duties as required.
Training and Experience

A combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a college or university, in business, government, administration, or related field.

Salary

$95,398
