Job Description

• Manage all stewarding operations to include inventory management, sanitation and cleanliness standards, systems management, budget and forecasting, health inspections, safety initiatives, report generation, department management, policy and procedure implementation, cost controls and overall profitability.
• Lead staff in daily coordination and distribution of china, glassware, linen and silver.
• Oversee equipment storage and distribution according to established standards.
• Monitor and develop team member performance, including supervision and professional development, scheduling, counseling and evaluations, and recognition.
• Recruit, interview, and train team members.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards and preparations for health inspections.
• Support hotel operations during peak times and special events with open and flexible availability.

• A minimum of 1-2 years of management experience in stewarding, with a strong preference for candidates who have also managed in related departments such as Banquets and Food & Beverage.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of efficient scheduling.
• Experience in inventory control, cost management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Previous experience training and developing team members.
• Open and flexible availability to support hotel operations during peak times and special events.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction.
• Prior experience managing within a union environment preferred.
