Paramedic, Wadsworth Emergency Department

Provides assistance to the Emergency Department physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists in pre-hospital and Emergency Department triage, stabilization, and transport of patients.
Qualifications- Formal
Education Required:
Successful completion of a course approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Division of EMS in Paramedic education and current certification by the State of Ohio. - Experience & Training
Required:
One (1) year of field experience (recent, within past five years), as an EMT in a part time or full time capacity. - Current certification in BLS-HCP and ACLS
- May require current certification in PALS – varies by location
- Other certifications and competencies as required by department
- Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
- Heavy:
Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or ten to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects - Ability to move and lift patients

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
