Wadsworth, OH - hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days on-site)
We are seeking a hands‑on Assistant Controller to support financial operations for a growing manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented accounting professional with strong cost accounting experience and prior team leadership exposure.
Key Responsibilities:- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and account reconciliations
- Lead cost accounting functions including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
- Analyze manufacturing performance (labor, material, overhead variances)
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support
- Help strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong cost accounting background within a manufacturing environment
- Prior supervisory or management experience
