Maintenance​/Custodial Cleaner

Overview

Waconia Public Schools is looking for candidates dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to explore their passions and create their success! Afast-growing school district located near the banks of Lake Waconia and approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis, Waconia Public Schoolsserves4,000 students and their families from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius, and New Germany. School District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).

Tuesday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm and Saturday - Flexible between 6:00am-10:00pm, depending on school events

Under the direction of the Director of Buildings & Grounds, the Maintenance/Custodial Cleaner is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily cleaning and maintenance activities within the building during assigned shift.

• (approx 70%) HVAC filter and belt changes, patching walls, fixing minor plumbing and electrical issues, painting, cleaning equipment, other duties as needed.

• (approx 30%) Taking out garbage, cafeteria cleanup after lunch, other duties as needed

A high school diploma or GED is required. Requires a minimum of 3years’ experience in custodial, cleaning and general maintenance of a facility. Must be able to obtain a State of Minnesota "Chief" Class C Stationary Engineers License within a specified time frame.

This is a Grade
12 position with hourly rates from $21.12 to $27.60 plus an excellent full-time benefits package that starts on the first day of employment.
