The City of Waco Seeks:

The City of Waco is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Traffic Signs & Markings Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in traffic sign and marking work, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications ;

Required:

• H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker Endorsement.

Position

Description:

Installs and maintains traffic control signs and markings on City streets and Department locations.

Essential Functions:

• Delivers and picks up road closure signs and devices; assists with setting up closures.
• Installs, repairs and replaces street signs according to assigned work orders.
• Places and burns thermoplastic for street markings; operates water truck and striping truck to paint street lines.
• Operates lift truck for installing overhead signs.
• May assist in fabricating signs.
• May be required to respond after hours, including holidays and weekends, in the event of a departmental or City-wide emergency.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Supports the relationship between the City of Waco and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with residents, visitors, and City staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and City information.
