Lead .Net Developer – Waco, TX
Location: Waco, TX (Travel required once project is completed in one location)
Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled .NET Developer to design, develop, and support software applications used in a warehouse and logistics environment. The role involves building and maintaining systems related to inventory management, order processing, barcode/RFID integration, and real-time warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, IT, and business teams to ensure efficient and scalable warehouse solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET / .NET Core / C#.
- Develop and support Warehouse Management System (WMS) integrations.
- Work on modules related to inventory tracking, inbound/outbound processing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Integrate applications with barcode scanners, RFID systems, printers, and handheld devices.
- Develop and consume REST APIs for ERP, transportation, and third‑party logistics systems.
- Optimize application performance for high‑volume, real‑time warehouse transactions.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to understand process flows and business requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely fixes in warehouse applications.
- Ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and compliance with security standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in .NET development.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Web API.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
- Hands‑on experience with API integrations and background services.
- Understanding of warehouse operations or supply chain processes (preferred).
- Experience working with real‑time systems and transaction‑heavy applications.
- Familiarity with barcode/RFID integration is a plus.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git, Azure Dev Ops, etc.).
- Experience with WMS, ERP, or Logistics systems.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of message queues (Rabbit
MQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus). - Front‑end experience with Angular or React (optional).
- Cloud exposure (Azure or AWS).
- Mid‑Senior level
