ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES

* Performs typical maintenance task to support the assembly floor and the entire facility.

* Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

* Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

* Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

* Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: plumbing, electrical (assist the facilities electrician), machine repair, plant layout, and janitorial.

* Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed and be well versed in the disciplines mention above.

* Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM instructions and specifications.

* Must feel comfortable with working in a team environment and outside contractors.

* Required to use considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform his/her tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Must be familiar with the waste water system

* Must have a good work history and attendance record

* Must have a history of safe work practices

* Must be familiar with plant safety polices

* Must assist in Dewatering Room

* Must able to check and repair pumps

* Must replace gear oil when necessary

* Must be able to perform all maintenance required in wastewater department

* Must obey all USDA, HACCP, and PLANT rules and regulations including safety

* Must be able to work with little or no supervision

* Training requirements:
General safety, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, HAZMAT

* Physical demands: some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required; lifting objects up to 70 lbs.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

* High School / GED or tech school education.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSABILITIES

* WORK ENVIRONMENT

* Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, and shop environments.

* Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
