Overview
This position assists the owners by providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of the company. You will balance the needs of the clients, employees and the company to achieve suitable solutions in the course of business. Improving current sales opportunities and identifying new ones is an important part of this role. You will be involved in booking and scheduling services, improving company efficiency in the operations, supporting other staff, and handling multiple tasks and setting priorities.
Responsibilities- Answer phone calls
- Call customers, vendors, coworkers for coordination of work
- Perform service dispatching
- Debrief technician at end of call and record key information into client’s computer record. Issue POs and/or order parts and materials for truck restock and non-stock items
- Ensure proper follow up on partially completed calls and customer communication
- Promote service agreement program
- Receive, record and maintain sales lead information, set appointments as necessary, and generally support sales efforts
- Work closely with the service and sales departments, recognizing and identifying possible sales opportunities and facilitating appropriate follow up
- Be available for remote on-call duty on a rotating basis
- Communicate clearly, precisely, and in a friendly manner and take and deliver messages as appropriate
- Be familiar with our company, products, and services so many questions can be answered without consulting others
- Perform customer satisfaction calls after each visit
- Ask for referrals and inform client where and how to make them
- From time to time receive vendor deliveries
- Clean, neat and professional appearance.
- Effective communication with associates, superiors, vendors and customers
- Possess superior interpersonal skills
- Efficiently manage time and schedules
- Become computer proficient to the extent necessary to fulfill this function
- Knowledge of Excel and Word is required
- Tradesman Services uses Microsoft 365, Quick Books and Service Fusion. The position requires knowledge of these software products and continuous learning.
- Must be very familiar with the use of smart phones, email and text messaging.
- Must be capable of understanding client needs and of favorably influencing their decisions.
- Constantly be learning through training from suppliers, trade shows, seminars, independent study, and other employees.
