This position is for a Travel Cardiac Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN) providing specialized care to patients in stepdown or progressive care units. The role involves monitoring patient responses, administering medications, coordinating with healthcare teams, and maintaining patient safety during a 13-week travel assignment in Waco, Texas. • Minimum years of experience preferred (at least 1-2 years)
• Graduate from an accredited school
• Certifications may be required based on facility requirements
• Physical abilities – remain stationary, move & lift equipment, push, bend, pull
• Communication and collaborative skills with physicians and other health team members
• Provides and coordinates patient care with team members
• Monitors patients’ responses to interventions and reports outcomes
• Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation
• Monitors & evaluates patients before, during, and post-procedure depending on unit
• Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30‑minute response time if required
• Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate supply stock
• Transports patients as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
