Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg Tele position on a 30-bed Stroke/Urology unit requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities- 30-bed Stroke and Urology unit (4 South Surgical Nursing) in a hospital setting
- Night shift hours: 18:45–07:15
- 13-week contract
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Provides direct nursing care including implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient conditions, and coordinating multidisciplinary care
- Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
- Navy or maroon scrubs required
- Local candidates may be considered, though travel pay eligibility is subject to a radius rule that varies by distance from the facility
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA-issued) required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Valid Driver's License required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
