Status: Critical Order | New/Expanded Service Line

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse for a critical care assignment at a facility in Waco, Texas. This is a "conglomerate" ICU environment, managing a diverse patient population across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular specialties. As this is a critical order for a new service line, we are looking for candidates who can hit the ground running and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

• Duration: 13 Weeks (02/08/2026 – 05/09/2026)
• Shift: Nights | 18:45 – 07:15
• Schedule: Full-time (48 hours per week)
• On-Call: None

The selected candidate will work within the Intensive Care Unit 001 , which manages complex cases including post-surgical recovery and acute medical crises.

• Clinical Versatility: Provide expert care for patients involving TAVR, CABG, CVA, Sepsis, DKA, and STEMI.
• Advanced Equipment Management: Proficiency in vent management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, and CRRT is required.
• Floating Requirement: Must be willing and able to float within the critical care service line, including both the ICU and Step-Down units as needed.
• Specialized Procedures: Assist with and monitor patients undergoing CEA, fem-pop bypass, thoracotomy, and TNK administration.

• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of recent ICU experience is mandatory.
• Skills: Strong background in cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) and general medical/surgical ICU protocols.
• Licensure: Active Texas RN License or Compact License.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment with a diverse patient mix.

• Patient Mix: High-acuity cases including respiratory failure, CHF, GIB, and pneumonia.
• Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to support a new and expanding service line within the Waco region.
