Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg Telemetry position in Texas requiring a compact or TX RN license and at least two years of experience.

• Work in a 29-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a cardiac and telemetry patient population
• Hospital setting, 3 SOUTH unit
• Shift is 06:45-19:15, 12-hour days
• Requires use of telemetry monitoring equipment
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• Responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care plans and monitoring patient condition
• Must assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team
• Requires critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate according to facility radius rules
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Documentation including references, skills checklist, certifications, and license verification must be provided for consideration

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med Surg Telemetry
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Ability to provide Nursys verification and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
