The project coordinator is responsible for overseeing production timelines of marketing campaigns and deliverables, and ensuring client and customer needs are met and understood by each department in the company. This person’s duties include scheduling milestones for each project, coordinating between internal departments, and providing production support to the client-facing account managers.
This role guides agency resources to address client needs, coordinating with the Strategy, Design, Communications, Video, and Web Development Departments. The project coordinator will collaborate with the Account Management Team to ensure projects are completed on time and budget. This person must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing client needs and new projects.
ProjectCoordinator Duties and Responsibilities
The project coordinator is organized, proactive, and flexible, simultaneously handling various duties pertaining to Four Columns and our clients with ease. This role’s main responsibility is to manage project timelines and ensure teams have all the necessary resources to do their best work. While no two days are exactly the same, some of the project coordinator’s daily responsibilites include:
- Creating new projects/tasks and ongoing oversight of production timelines to ensure deadlines are met at each stage of the project
- Collaborating with various internal departments and keeping track of all processes pertaining to client projects’ success
- Occasionally communicating with clients alongside the dedicated account manager
A Project Coordinator must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be able to perform the duties of this role with the utmost professionalism and excellence. Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, communications or related field, plus relevant work experience (2+ years)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail and time management
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to curiosity and a desire to learn
- Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects and clients at once
- Self-starter willing to learn and work within internal production processes
- Familiarity with these programs:
- Any project management system (ie. Hive, Asana, Basecamp)
- Linked In/Facebook/Instagram
- Google Business Ecosystem
- Microsoft Office Ecosystem
- 1 year in a project management or operations role
- Experience working in a marketing agency
- Interest in AI and process automation
