This position plays a key role in producing and restoring precision metal components using manual equipment. The shop is looking for a true manual machinist — someone who can take a blueprint and raw material and independently produce an accurate finished part without constant direction.

The Work You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you will:
- Operate manual engine lathes, mills, and Vertical Turret Lathes (VTLs)
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Set up machines independently and select appropriate tooling
- Machine new parts from raw material to finished specification
- Perform repair and modification work on worn or damaged components
- Monitor dimensions and maintain quality throughout the machining process
- Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining safety standards
- Manage your workflow and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines
This role requires independence and accountability — you will be expected to deliver finished, accurate parts with minimal supervision.

What We’re Looking ForRequired:
- 3+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist
- Strong proficiency operating manual lathes and mills
- Experience with Vertical Turret Lathes (VTLs)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints independently
- Strong understanding of machine setup, tooling, and repair techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must provide and maintain your own precision measuring tools
- Experience in a job shop or industrial repair environment
- Technical or trade school training
