Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers.
Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As the Senior Manager Logistics, you will be responsible for leading the Waco Work Tools Distribution Center. This role handles critical activities including attaining safety, employee engagement, quality, production efficiency, and shipping/receiving functions, operating at levels which meet customers’ needs and established financial benchmarks. This position requires a value-based, strategic, high-energy individual with both stamina and mental quickness to be able to work and thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

- Leading the day-to-day operation with support of management team.
- Responsible for policies and programs, which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.
- Managing operations performance to ensure KPI’s and financial targets are achieved.
- Responsible for distribution operation processes which include but are not limited to receiving, storage, order filling, packing, shipping, quality control, inspection, inventory counts and related functions.
- Developing and implementing operations changes to improve performance.
- Preparing budget and objectives and various reports.
- Building a collaborative relationship with dealers, suppliers, contractors, internal customers, process partners, and the community.
- Responsible for all employee-related activities of the facility.
- Working with HR Manager, when appropriate, to recruit, select, develop, and train staff.
- Maintaining the site property and oversight of maintenance and janitorial services.
- Purchasing and maintaining equipment, vehicles and procuring office and storeroom supplies.
- Working with management team to develop/review operational procedures and quality plans to ensure the operation complies with local government requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
