Job DescriptionAs a Senior Systems Programmer
, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our mainframe systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance for critical business operations. - Maintain and support our z/VSE operating system and subsystems (CICS, POWER, VTAM, etc.)
- Manage and support third‑party products (EPIC, BIM‑EDIT, FAQS/PCS, etc.)
- Troubleshoot system‑level issues and performance bottlenecks
- Support our Lifecomm policy administration system at the infrastructure level
- Write and maintain system utilities and exits in HLASM
- Handle system IPLs, patches, and upgrades
- Perform capacity planning and system tuning
- Collaborate with vendor support when needed
- Document systems and procedures
- Respond to compliance and security requests
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years supporting mainframe environments
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑resolution skills for complex system issues
- Advanced Assembler programming skills
- Expertise with z/VSE subsystems (CICS, POWER, VTAM)
- Attentive to detail and critical thinking

The typical hiring range for this position starts at USD per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
