Host​/Door person

Location: Diamondback’s Fine Dining Restaurant – Waco, TX

Reports To: Front-of-House Manager

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Diamondback’s and plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional fine dining experience. This position requires a warm, professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage reservations and seating in a way that supports both guest satisfaction and efficient service flow.

• Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival, making them feel welcome and valued.
• Manage reservations and walk-in guests using the restaurant’s reservation system.
• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure proper table rotation and guest flow.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a polished and professional manner.
• Maintain an organized and clean host stand and lobby area at all times.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing accurate information about the restaurant, menu, and events.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address concerns when possible, and communicate feedback to management.
• Assist in accommodating special requests, such as dietary needs or seating preferences, whenever possible.
• Support front-of-house team members as needed to ensure smooth service operations.

• Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment preferred, but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
