Certification Details
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Job Details
- Must have current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter.
- Completion of Ascension Color Vision test prior to start and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and updated yearly.
- Completion of Ascension EKG Exam prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Nova Stat Strip prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Epic Test-Out prior to start.
- Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Positive PPD-Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire, and Health Statement.
- Must provide valid Driver's License or State address requirements.
- Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually.
- Completion of Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
- Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
- Qualifying professional references prior to first assignment.
- Completion of criminal background checks and employment verifications as required.

- Contract length is 13 weeks.
