Overview

Personal Care Assistant/FLEXIBLE role at Right at Home - Central Texas. Right at Home hires compassionate and caring people who want to make a difference in the lives of seniors and their loved ones. You will be part of a team committed to high standards and caring for clients in their homes.

Hiring for 12 hour shifts day or night. Various shifts available for those who do not want 12-hour shifts. Previous care experience is required; an active CNA certification is not required.

• Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, ambulation/transfers, dressing and shaving, preparing meals and snacks, and light housekeeping.
• Accompanies patient on errands or medical appointments.

Performs patient-specific activities taught by a Right at Home Supervisor, including:

• Providing hospice supportive care
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with blood glucose monitoring
• Care of bed-bound patients
• Incontinence care
• Use of lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

• Previous care experience of at least one year
• Hoyer lift experience (preferred)
• Ability to provide companionship and light cleaning as needed
