Overview
Occupational Therapist – PRN/Flexible at Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Waco, TX. Provide 1:1 therapy in real‑life settings, flexible hourly schedule, no evenings/weekends/holidays, clinical autonomy, collaborative team, growth opportunities.
Responsibilities- Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
- Regularly re‑assess treatment effectiveness, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
- Perform discharge evaluations, make home and community safety recommendations, and provide referrals and education resources.
- Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, client and family members.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate care and enhance outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted state license as an Occupational Therapist.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum one year of OT work experience.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological diagnoses (preferred).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and transfer patients up to 100 lbs following safety procedures.
- Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
- Physical requirements:
pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and frequent positioning. - Health screen/examination may be required before assignment and periodically thereafter per local and state regulations.
