Industrial Engineering Technician

We are looking for an Industrial Engineering Technician to work with the Value Stream Manager and Industrial Engineering Manager to formalize and develop the loss elimination strategy in the value stream. The role captures and analyzes data to define areas for optimization that enhance safety, productivity and efficiency, delivering a quality product. The IE ensures a clear roadmap for success, challenges standards, supports cost savings, and connects with the Mars Snacking supply strategy.

What

we’re looking for?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Mathematics, Finance, Supply, Business Management or a related technical field
  • OR 2‑year technical degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Power Point
  • Familiarity with Tableau or similar modeling and database tools
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact and influence all organizational levels; open to change and input from a diverse workforce
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing / TPM environments
  • Good working knowledge of cost‑vs‑benefit analysis (e.g., IRR, payback period)
  • Experience with Lean tools such as 5S, SMED, Standard Work
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis tools such as 5‑Why, Fishbone Analysis
Key Responsibilities
  • Track KPIs, perform trend analysis, and communicate performance against targets
  • Support Activity Management (Project Management) and act as the “voice of site” for new activities
  • Conduct capability and capacity analysis for production lines and lead bottleneck analysis
  • Optimize labor efficiency and staffing standards
  • Leverage regional and global benchmarking to identify areas for improvement
  • Lead, participate in, and coach loss analysis and Continuous Improvement activities on the journey to zero loss (FI Pillar of TPM)
  • Perform regular rate reviews of product lines and own rate strategy
