The Estimator is responsible for searching for profitable jobs for the Company and evaluating the feasibility of undertaking the project. He/she provides bids to construction contractors and owners that are competitive yet profitable for the Company.

• Checks the website for available bid opportunities.
• Downloads blueprints from the website and does material take-offs.
• Sends out and follows-up on bids to potential customers.
• Up-sells products, services, and equipment to existing and potential customers.
• Maintains customer contacts.
• Submits approved alternate products to contractors/owners for project acceptance.
• Seeks out new customers.
• Write-up equipment lists and submits to operations.
• Schedules jobs with Dispatch; follows-up as needed.
• Acts as primary customer contact for contractors/owners through the project.

• Knowledge of Traffic Control products and services.
• Knowledge and understanding of blueprints.
• Basic computer skills.
• Efficient and effective organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers via telephone, email, and in-person.
• Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe preferred.

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of Traffic Control Industry preferred.

• Sedentary – primarily sits at desk for majority of the day.
• Occasionally exerts up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to latch or unlatch trailers and haul rolling stock, demos or sales/rentals to customer sites.
• Must be able to move about inside office space to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine or printer.
• Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, using measurement devices, and visual inspection of work to ensure accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
