Overview

We seek a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with diverse abilities, fostering independence and a fulfilling life. Responsibilities- Helping create a meaningful day for the individuals
- Helping individuals become more independent and accomplish their goals
- Assisting with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene
- Helping them be a part of their community

- Taking people out into the community
- Building trust and a relationship together and doing life alongside them
- Engaging in arts, crafts and creative activities
- Transporting individuals to and from facilities in compliance with safety regulations
- Playing games and doing fun activities
- Maintaining timely and accurate records for billing, notes and other documentation

Wabash, IN - Hours:
Full-Time - Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM - Salary Base: $15.00/Hour
On-the-job training will cover CPR, G-Tube, colostomy, catheter and tracheostomy care.

- Experience:
Must be 18 years or older; valid driver’s license, adequate auto insurance, and meet agency insurability requirements. - Knowledge:
Ability to learn basic principles of teaching; good basic mathematical computation and English writing knowledge. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, bend, stoop or stand for extended periods; assist in lifting or transferring individuals to and from wheelchairs; ability to wear PPE as required. - Safety and Compliance:
Ability to follow required safe and universal precaution practices; knowledge of first aid and health & safety measures or achieve competence through post-hire training.
