SummaryResponsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care through outcome identification and evidence‑based practice. As an integral member of the health care team, coordinates patient care and collaborates extensively with the other members of the health care team, patients and/or the patient’s family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
Position Responsibilities- Perform an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation, and evaluation of a plan of care.
- Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
- Effectively manage rapidly changing situations.
- Participate in clinical decision‑making.
- Educate patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
- Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of nursing department and health care team.
- Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
- Participate in orientation, education, and development of health care team.
- Identify and participate in the performance improvement activities.
- Maintain professional and departmental level competencies.
- Must have valid NJ RN License and maintain it in accordance with the State of New Jersey licensing board.
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
- Perfect nursing skills and stay abreast of current nursing practice through ongoing education, journals, etc. Must have strong communication skills.
- Must be able to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
$43.27 – $58.68 (actual rate varies based on applicant experience as well as internal equity and market data).
