Job Description
The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs to facilitate development and rehabilitation of mentally, physically, or emotionally disabled persons.

- Completes and maintains patient records.
- Tests and evaluates patients' physical and cognitive abilities and analyzes medical data to determine realistic rehabilitation goals for patients.
- Plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy programs.
- Plans, prepares, or carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
- Records prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enters information into computer.
- Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
- Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Selects activities that will help individuals learn work and life-management skills within limits of their mental or physical capabilities.
- Recommends changes in patients' work or living environments, consistent with their needs and capabilities.
- Plans and implements programs and social activities to help patients learn skills and adjust to handicaps.
- Conducts training programs in occupational therapy techniques and objectives.
- Complies with professional, ethical and legal standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Current NJ Occupational Therapist state license required.
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to utilize electronic medical record and Microsoft Office programs.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
