Work Hours: 16 hours per week, likely including a weekend day.

Performs high quality Ultrasound examinations in accordance with approved techniques and protocols. Supports Virtua Health Mission & Vision Statements and adheres to Virtua Health’s Policies and Procedures.

• Consistently performs high quality Ultrasound studies for various patient populations per protocols established by Radiologists and designated specialists, including perinatal sonography of high‑risk maternity patients; recognizes and documents pathology.
• Obtains pertinent medical history, previous examinations, and physician orders before each exam.
• Responds promptly to changes in the work schedule, covering all shifts on a rotational basis and being on‑call as required.
• Uses RIS and hospital‑based computer programs, respecting confidentiality of electronic communications.
• Prepares rooms for biopsy exams, assists with both inter‑operative and outpatient biopsy procedures as needed.

• Experience preferred in abdominal, obstetrical, small parts, and vascular imaging.
• Formal education in Diagnostic Ultrasound Program (RDMS program graduate for MFM area).
• ARDMS certification or registry eligible; must be licensed within two years of employment.
