Equipment Service Technician, Part-Time 2nd shift, Voorhees

Every other weekend and holiday

Collects, cleans patient care equipment and assists with environment of care rounds to support safe and efficient patient care. Supports highest clinical quality by ensuring patient care equipment is delivered within established priority guidelines.

• Collects soiled equipment and specialty carts throughout the facility and returns the equipment to designated area for cleaning.
• Terminally cleans equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendation and inspects equipment to assure patient safety. Returns equipment to proper storage locations.
• Performs physical inventory, requisitions and replenishes items to support equipment and specialty carts. Requisition s supply items utilizing Materials Management Information System.
• Locates equipment utilizing equipment tracking system.
• Documents and requisitions equipment rentals as needed.
• Documents equipment issues, repairs and location throughout the facility.
• Delivers specialty carts (i.e., code cart, isolation cart, urology cart), patient care equipment and equipment accessories within established priority guidelines.
• Assembles bedside patient traction upon request.
• Perinatal - Handles and transports specimens according to policies and procedures, assists with transporting and transferring of patients while using correct body mechanics.

Health Care experience with knowledge of patient care equipment.

HS Diploma or GED.
