A professional services law firm is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and hands-on bookkeeping experience.
What You’ll Do- Perform daily general bookkeeping and data entry
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger and bank accounts
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payroll entries and assist with payroll reporting
- Handle escrow and trust accounting related to client settlements
- Maintain fixed asset records
- Use Positive Pay systems to support fraud prevention
- Prepare spreadsheets and financial reports
- Organize and maintain accurate financial files
- Support additional accounting and clerical tasks as needed
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with Quick Books (Desktop and Online)
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and MS Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential financial information
- Accounting degree or coursework preferred, not required
