Your tasks at a glance:
With us, you will ensure that ship equipment components are in perfect working order, which you will confidently design, procure and integrate into the ship.
In this context, you will develop technical concepts for equipment and system components based on customer requirements and applicable regulations.
Depending on the project, you will carry out detailed designs of individual components.
All design and manufacturing documents (in 3D) as well as test specifications will pass through your hands, whereby you will reliably take into account interfaces with other systems and coordinate them if necessary.
In addition, you will evaluate external offers, formulate technical enquiry and order specifications, manage subcontractors and coordinate consistently with the classification society.
It goes without saying that you will personally participate in the acceptance and testing of the assemblies for which you are responsible and conscientiously document the technical status within your area of responsibility.
At the NVL we rely on a storm-proven crew in which everyone can rely on each other. That is why we promote a working environment that invites you to stay and offer anchor opportunities such as exciting development opportunities. Of course we will accompany you on your way with us with targeted personnel development measures, which we would be happy to tell you about in a personal conversation.
Completed degree in marine engineering, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable course of study, alternatively further training as a technician
Ideally, professional experience in a comparable position in the shipbuilding industry/maritime sector and, accordingly, knowledge of the design and integration of individual components through to complete plants and systems – but committed career starters with a strong technical mindset are also welcome
Optional: knowledge of marine engineering construction regulations and standards
You are able to confidently answer technical questions in English
Confident use of MS Office, 3D CAD systems (preferably Siemens NX) and product lifecycle management systems (Siemens Teamcenter)
Equipped with good time management skills, creativity and a healthy dose of curiosity, you enjoy working independently and solution-oriented in our team.
Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 5%)
