Nabla Wind Hub is looking to hire a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer to join the Life Extension team within the Engineering Department, with an interest in specializing in both load analysis for wind turbine life extension and wind resource analysis and characterization.

The selected candidate will join an experienced team, where he/she will be able to develop professionally, working mainly on the analysis and evaluation of Nabla Wind Hub's aeroelastic model, as well as wind resource studies, site condition analysis, and supporting the technical studies necessary for wind turbine life extension and structural evaluation projects.

The engineer will be based in Vitoria-Gasteiz (in a hybrid model).

• Develop a methodology to execute, analyze, and evaluate aeroelastic simulations for the calculation of loads and performance of wind turbines.
• Participate in the analysis and characterization of the wind resource, including the study of site-specific wind conditions and their influence on loads, structural behavior, and wind turbine performance.
• Research and develop new actuation and control strategies in order to optimize design and reduce energy costs.
• Post-process data using Python routines to analyze data obtained from wind turbines (SCADA records, sensors, etc.).

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced level of English (C1). Knowledge of additional languages will be an asset.
• Proficient in Office 365.
• Previous knowledge of Bladed, Flex, or FAST software will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience in control strategies will be valued.
• Experience in Python will be considered an asset.
