OMP is a high-performance physical therapy and training facility dedicated to developing resilient, high-level athletes. We specialize in return-to-sport rehabilitation, ACL rehab, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development—from early post‑op through full return to play and peak performance.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Sports Physical Therapist or Athletic Trainer to join our team. This role blends rehabilitation, strength & conditioning, and sports performance in an athlete-centered environment.
You will work with athletes across all levels, guiding them from early post‑operative or injury stages through return-to-sport and performance enhancement. This position is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a performance‑driven setting and values movement quality, strength development, and long‑term athlete health.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement individualized rehabilitation and performance programs for athletes at all stages of recovery and training
- Progress athletes from early post‑op rehab through return‑to‑sport and performance phases
- Perform comprehensive movement and performance assessments (e.g., SFMA or similar, Vald Smart Speed for speed and change of direction, Vald Force Plates for jumping/landing mechanics and Vald Dynamo for isometric strength testing)
- Provide one‑on‑one rehabilitation and performance sessions
- Develop and apply injury prevention and reconditioning strategies
- Track athlete progress and adjust programming based on objective and subjective findings
- Educate athletes on proper movement mechanics, technique, and training intent
- Collaborate with the Olympus team to ensure high‑quality athlete care
- Stay current with evidence‑based practices in sports rehab and performance
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Licensed or license‑eligible in California
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training
- BOC‑certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
- Eligible for California licensure
- Experience in sports performance, return‑to‑sport rehab, or strength & conditioning
- Strong understanding of strength training, speed development, and injury prevention
- Experience working with youth, high school, collegiate, or adult athletes
- Passion for athlete development and performance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with athletes of all ages and ability levels
- Self‑motivated, organized, and team‑oriented
- High standards for movement quality and clinical care
