Chemist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Chemist with a solid foundation in organic chemistry and analytical techniques to support reaction development, synthesis, and characterization activities in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, supporting ongoing development and manufacturing programs through routine laboratory work, data generation, and documentation.

• Perform organic synthesis and routine reaction work
• Support reaction monitoring and optimization activities
• Execute standard work-up procedures, including extraction, washing, filtration, and drying
• Assist with the purification and isolation of compounds using recrystallization, column chromatography, and distillation
• Support analytical testing and characterization using: HPLC, Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), Gas Chromatography–Flame Ionization Detector (GC-FID)
• Handle moisture-sensitive compounds using appropriate drying methodologies
• Support raw material and intermediate testing
• Accurately record experimental data in laboratory notebooks and contribute to technical reports
• Follow GMP, GLP, and laboratory safety procedures at all times
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional team members as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
• 2–4 years of relevant industry experience in pharma or biotech
• Master’s degree in Chemistry

• Basic, organic, and analytical chemistry
• Organic synthesis and reaction chemistry
• Common laboratory and purification techniques
• Hands-on experience with chromatographic and analytical tools
• Pharma or biotech industry experience
• Familiarity with GMP-regulated laboratory environments
• Strong attention to detail and documentation practices
